New rules for departing passengers carrying liquids onto International and National flights
Check if you are subject to these limitations

Starting from April 1, the passengers of International flights (even during domestic stages) and National flights, that use the departure lounge that is used for International flights (flights that begin with “G37”) will be subject to the restrictions stipulated by the Agência Nacional da Aviação Civil – ANAC (National Agency of the Civil Aviation) for the transportation of liquid substances in their hand luggage.

The transportation of liquids (including gel, paste, cream, aerosol and similar) should comply with the following rules:

- the liquid should be in a bottle having a capacity of 100 ml or less. Bottles greater than 100 ml cannot be transported, even if they contain the stipulated amount.

- the bottle should be placed adequately (allowing space) inside of a sealed transparent plastic bag, having a maximum capacity of 1 liter and a maximum size of 20 cm x 20 cm.

In the departure lounge, the plastic bag should be presented for inspection at the X-Ray equipment, separately from the hand luggage, laptop and garments.

Each passenger may carry on a single plastic bag*. Therefore, other bottles containing liquids must be transported, previously packed, in dispatched luggage.

Liquids that have been acquired in Free Shops may exceed the limit stipulated above, as long as they are in stamped plastic bags with the purchase receipt being visible and with the date of the beginning of the flight for passengers that are departing or are on a connection flight.

This measure does not guarantee the acceptance of bags stamped in other States, in the case of connections at their airports, it is yet informed that the passengers that find themselves in this situation may have their products confiscated by foreign authorities.

Click here to read the complete ANAC document.

* There is no transportation limit for medicines with the due medical prescription, baby's foods and special dietary liquids in reasonable quantities for use during the total period of flight, including eventual stopovers. These products should also be presented at the security area in the departure lounge.

In the event of violation, damages, losses or any other abnormal occurrence to your baggage or objects left on the aircraft, the Client should contact one of the Gol personnel before leaving the arrival area.

It is understood that in the event of the receipt of baggage without the immediate notification of any irregularity, it will be assumed that the Client checked the state of it before leaving the confines of the arrival room area.
