If the point of sale is not one of the countries that GOL operates regularly, bookings and ticketing can also be made through the GDSs.
GOL recognizes the GDS as a valuable distribution channel, and as such, GOL currently participates in all major GDS, which connectivity substantially simplifies the sale and ticketing process for the travel agents. Today, GOL participates in the following GDS's :
•Amadeus 1A
•Worldspan 1P
•Sabre 1S
•Axess 1J
•Galileo 1G
•Apollo 1V
01.RESERVATION PROCEDURES
Availability for the required origin and destination on G3 flights has to be retrieved. All fare classes are going to be shown on the availability display (more classes may show if the display indicates so). All fares that are published in USD are possible to be sold.
If there is no availability for the requested flight, status NO (no action taken) or UC (unable to confirm) will be returned. For some GDSs where the Type A connectivity is active, response is sent by GOL just after the request. In other GDSs, PNRs has to be completed to be answered by GOL.
Gol accepts flight connections. The connecting segments must be sold in the same transaction, before finishing the reservation. Connections cannot be partially cancelled. The only valid connections will be those allowed by the fare rule routing. All others will be charged as separate tickets. If flights are sold separately, GOL will not be responsible for the reserved flights connecting time and passenger will have to do separate check-ins. This procedure may cause no-shows and issues to the passenger.
Reservations will only be confirmed after the record locator return, usually next to the G3 flights. After payment/ticketing are accepted, record locator is also sent on SSR format.
GOL does not accept waiting lists. In case of waiting lists request, UC status will be returned.
02.INFANT (INF) AND CHILD (CHD) RESERVATION
The reservation/issuance of a CHD/INF can be made in the same record locator of the adult for fares in USD.
Unaccompanied children under the age of 5 are prohibited from flying.
Infants fly free if accompanied by a paying adult. There must be only one Infant per Adult and the infant must fly all sectors of the PNR. Gol controls the number of infants on board, and can reject the INF request.
03.HOLD TIME LIMIT
If no ticket is issued before ending the PNR, GOL returns an automatic hold time limit of up to 72 hours, after the PNR ending, in the following format:
SSR OTHS YY G3 ITIN CONFIRMED-MUST PROVIDE PAYMENT
SSR OTHS YY G3 SUBJ CXL ON/BEFORE 16JUL 0259Z WITHOUT PYMT >BR/> If no valid ticket is entered within the hold time limit determined, the reservation will be cancelled.
04.FLIGHT / PNR CANCELLATION
Fees can be applied to segments or PNRs canceled or changed, according to the fare rules.
If there are any fare differences to be paid, it can be charged at the travel agency or will be directly charged at the time of check-in on G3 flights.
05.Passenger changes (or cancellations)
GOL does not accept passenger reduction or addition on PNRs that are already finished. It is necessary to split the PNR and cancel the one that is not going to be used, or book a new one for the additional passengers. Gol does not accept name changes as well.
06.FARE RULES
Gol does not allow end-on-end on G3 pure itineraries. This fare construction is not valid, since Gol publishes fares for all its itineraries.
Fare rules must be checked before any change after the reservation/sale was made.
07.SERVICES
GOL allows the following SSR requests: NSST/ NSSW/ NSSA/ SEAT/WCHC/ WCHS/ WCHR/ WCBD/ AVIH. All others will be denied.
Seat maps and Pet in Cabin are not available.
08.TICKETING AND INTERLINE TICKETING
For itineraries combining G3 and Other Airline flights, the Other Airline must be the validating carrier. Tkts have to be issued under the validating carrier's plate.
After booking G3 flights altogether with Other Airline flights, you may be asked for payment/ticketing and advised of a tkt time limit of up to 72 hours. After tkts from the partner carrier are issued, they will be considered by Gol as a form of payment. Attention: No G3 tkt (plate 127) can be issued in this case. To verify interline agreements with Gol:
•On Amadeus:TGAD-G3
•On Galileo: DT/IAT/DISXX where XX means the partner airline code
•On Sabre: W/*XX‡*G3 where XX means the partner airline code
•On Worldspan: 4G/TA*XX-G3-E where XX means the validating carrier airline code
Changes and cancellations may be done, according to the validating carrier fare rules restrictions.
For itineraries using only G3 flights with USD fares, G3 tkts (127) may be issued in the countries where G3 participates on the local BSP or ARC. In all other countries HR-169 tickets can also be issued. It is not necessary to insert any other forms of payment in this case.
