One Way Rules

1. To issue Smiles Partner Airline One-way Tickets involving parameters from different classes on the One-Way Awards Table, the award ticket will be charged at the higher miles amount.

2. One (1) stopover is allowed within the trip's region of destination, but not allowed in strictly domestic flights within any country or when the trip consists only of European countries. Stopover: an intermediary stop between the origin and destination of a trip.
More than 2 (two) connections are not allowed in the same city within a trip.

3. The same city cannot be used more than once in the same itinerary direction (Side Trip). A separate ticket must be issued for a Side Trip.

4. Backtracking on the same itinerary is not allowed. The connection points must be within direct routes.

5. The Smiles Partner Airline One-Way Tickets are for a single segment and may have two legs when stopovers are allowed. There is a maximum limit of 3 (three) connections.

6. There are no blackout periods for Smiles Partner Airline One-Way Tickets in Smiles Partner Airline flights; blackout periods may, however, be introduced, modified or suspended without prior notice, at the discretion of these airlines.

7. Date and/or itinerary changes for a segment with the same award miles value.
When the change involves a paper ticket no changes will be allowed. In case of an unused electronic ticket, changes to date and/or itinerary are allowed while the ticket is valid and up until six hours before departure time through a Smiles Service Center by the Smiles member who is identified by electronic validation of his Smiles number and password, holding a confirmed reservation in a specific class and upon payment of an administrative fee. The Smiles Partner Airline One-Way Ticket issued for the new itinerary will have the same validity as the original ticket.

7.1 Changes to date and/or itinerary for segments with award parameters with higher or lower miles than the original: When the change involves a paper ticket no changes will be allowed. In the case of an unused valid electronic ticket the change will be allowed; the member must request a refund through the Smiles Service Center and the issue of another award ticket for the new miles amount.

8. Refunds
Are allowed while the ticket is valid and before the start of the trip and must be requested at a Smiles Service Center by the Smiles member who is identified by electronic validation of his Smiles number and password, holding a confirmed reservation in a specific class and upon payment of an administrative fee. Only valid miles will be refunded to the member’s account. In this case, when there is a paper ticket, the member must send the ticket to the Smiles Program via registered post or other secure method in order to receive a refund for the ticket. The valid miles will be refunded to the account when the ticket is received; the boarding fees will be returned within 60 days starting from the receipt of the ticket by the Smiles Program.
