Packing Your Bags

The baggage allowance is honored by GOL only for flights issued on the same ticket. For flights issued segment by segment (purchased separately), even with a Partner airline, the baggage allowance will not be honored. In this case, the allowance and rules of each purchased segment apply.

It is not possible to purchase checked baggage in advance through digital channels. The purchase must be made directly at the counter of the airline performing the check-in, and this will be honored until the final destination.

Fragile items
Fragile items are accepted provided they are adequately packaged. However, if the product is damaged for any reason, the company will not be liable for compensation. Consult the air transport contract for more information.

Perishables
No type of perishable food will be accepted. For more information, please contact the consular or customs services of the countries of destination and transit.

Transportation of items for infants (0 to under 2 years old)
If the infant travels in their own seat (reserved), they are entitled to the same amount of baggage as an adult. If traveling on the lap, it is possible to check in one piece of baggage up to 10 kg.

A courtesy allowance of 1 stroller (for use) and/or 1 infant car seat will be provided free of charge.

Baggage claim
Your baggage tags should show your final destination.
When the passenger is arriving from an international origin with a destination in Brazil, in the case of connecting passengers, baggage must be collected at the first stop in the country (Brazil). After the mandatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the GOL counter to check in the baggage again.

When the customer's destination is Colombia, in the case of connecting passengers in Colombia, there is no need to collect the baggage at the connection; it will be sent to the final destination. When the customer's destination is the United States, in the case of passengers connecting in the United States, baggage must be collected at the first stop in that country. After the mandatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the counter of the operating airline of the next flight to re-check the baggage.

Lost Baggage
In case of lost baggage, the responsibility for registering and monitoring the status of the baggage claim rests with the last airline to transport the passenger. If baggage loss is identified during a connection from international flights to GOL domestic flights, the customer must open a baggage claim with the airline that transported them on the previous leg of the journey.

Damaged Baggage
In case of damaged baggage, the customer must contact the last carrier to open a baggage claim. If the damage is discovered on a flight connecting from an international flight to a GOL domestic flight, the claim must be opened with the carrier of the first leg of the journey.
