Differentiated baggage is the baggage allowance for transporting items outside the standard of a travel suitcase, which have special dimensions and characteristics such as sports equipment, musical instruments, TVs, monitors, boxes, packaging, etc. In these cases, a fee per volume is charged, according to your travel destination.
Important:

  • Smiles or other loyalty programs do not entitle passengers to free transportation of special baggage.
  • Fares that include regular checked baggage (suitcase) free of charge do not guarantee free transportation of special baggage.
  • GOL is not responsible for damage caused to special baggage during transportation.

A = Height     B = Width      C = Length

Items considered differentiated baggage must weigh up to 23 kg. Above this weight, a fixed excess fee will be charged, according to your travel destination. For travel within Brazil, the limit to be checked is 45 kg, and for international travel, the limit is 32 kg. Consult the values in the 'excess weight' tab. Should your item exceed these conditions, you may check it via GOLLOG.

All perishable products and food in general must be accommodated in packaging that is leak-proof, resistant to accidental opening, and prevents bad odors. In the case of fish products (fish, crustaceans, and other seafood), the packaging must also be placed inside styrofoam boxes lined internally and externally with a resistant plastic bag.

Transported ice must be gel ice or contained in isolated and hermetic plastic bags. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service: 0800 704 0465.
