Seat assignment

You can only assign seats while checking in at airport counters as this procedure cannot be carried out when purchasing tickets online. If your connection is operated by a different airline, you will receive a boarding pass but with a random seat assignment.

Packing your bags

For flights between Brazil and North America:

- Business class: 3 (three) pieces of luggage up to 32 kg (71 lbs) each.

- Delta (Planned) economy class: 2 (two) pieces of luggage up to 32 kg (71 lbs) each.

For flights between South America (except Brazil) and North America:

- Business class: 2 (two) pieces of luggage up to 32 kg (71 lbs) each.

- Economy class: 1 (one) piece of luggage up to 23 kg (51 lbs).

The international baggage allowance will be honored by GOL only on flights issued with the same locator code and that take place within 24 hours of the original flight. The international baggage allowance is not valid for tickets purchased separately, even if they are issued by a partner airline. In such cases, the domestic baggage allowance will apply.

Excess Baggage Payment

Passengers who have excess baggage may pay the excess baggage fees when checking their baggage at a counter.

Fragile items

Fragile items are accepted, provided they are appropriately packaged. If the item is damaged for any reason, the passenger will not be reimbursed.

Live Animals

Live animals cannot be transported on Codeshare flights.

Perishables

No type of perishable food is accepted on Codeshare flights.

Sports equipment

Bicycles, surfboards, skis, snowboards, bows and arrows, and kitesurfing and wakeboard equipment must be transported as checked baggage. Delta Air Lines does not charge excess baggage fees or deduct from the total baggage allowance for sporting equipment weighing less than 15 kg (33 lbs). If the sporting equipment exceeds this weight or there are additional equipment, the excess baggage fee will apply.

In the case of ski equipment, for example: each passenger is allowed to transport, free of charge, one pair of skis, one pair of boots and one pair of ski poles; or one pair of water skis; or one snowboard and one pair of boots, as long as they do not exceed 15 kg (33 lbs). If the weight of the equipment exceeds these limits or there are additional equipment, the excess baggage fee will apply.

In the case of surfing and windsurfing equipment, board transportation fees are as follows: if it doesn’t exceeds 277 cm (109 inches), it will be charged as 5kg (11 lbs) of excess baggage; if it exceeds 277 cm (109 inches), it will be charged as 8kg (18 lbs) of excess baggage.

Antlers may be transported on Codeshare flights as checked baggage if they are properly packed and labeled as a fragile item.

Baggage Claim

Checked baggage on Codeshare flights must be claimed at the final destination.

Lost baggage service

In the case of lost or damaged baggage, passengers must seek the baggage service department of the airline that operated the last flight segment.

Carry-on baggage

Passengers may travel with a personal item such as a purse, briefcase, camera bag, diaper bag or laptop or an item of a similar or smaller size to those listed.

Jackets, umbrellas, food and beverages purchased after clearing security, duty-free products and special items such as wheelchairs, crutches and baby strollers may also be transported free of charge.

Remember: the sum of the length, width and height of carry-on baggage may not exceed 114 cm (45 inches), including handles and wheels, and must easily fit into the carry-on baggage templates (approximately 56 x 35 x 23 cm or 22 x 14 x 9 in) located next to check-in counters. The maximum weight limit is 12 kg (26 lbs).

The carry-on baggage allowance for international and domestic flights operated by Delta vary. Check your baggage allowance when purchasing your ticket or at the check-in counter.

On GOL flights, the carry-on baggage allowance is always 5 kg (11 lbs).

IMPORTANT: valuable items, such as jewelry and cash, may not be checked and will only be accepted as carry-on baggage.

Electronic Equipment

All electronic equipment must be transported as carry-on baggage. Laptops, cameras, mobile phones, camcorders and tablets must go through the x-ray machine at the security checkpoint. For this reason, these items must travel with you.

Flight rescheduling and refund options for no-show tickets are available to registered customers on our website

In the case of Delta flights, if the customer selects the credit option, they may use this credit only on a RESERVATION of the same type. This is because the credit cannot be transacted back to its original condition, that is, when credit is retained by the airline and customers may use it as they wish for the services offered.

 
 
 

Special passengers

Children

In the case of Delta Codeshare flights, GOL does not transport children younger than 15 years of age who are unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Infants

To ensure your comfort on international flights, Delta offers a checked baggage allowance for children younger than 2 years of age.

  • 1 (one) piece of luggage up to 10 kg (22 lbs).
  • 1 (one) baby stroller.
  • 1 (one) baby carrier or 1 (one) car seat

Baggage Claim

Checked baggage on codeshare flights must be claimed at the final destination, when the trip originates in Brazil. When a passenger travelling to Brazil from Europe is making a connection, the checked baggage must be claimed at the first destination in Brazil. After going through the mandatory customs procedures, the passenger must go to a GOL counter to check their baggage again.

Lost baggage service

Passengers connecting to domestic GOL flights from international flights who, when retrieving their baggage for customs inspections at the connecting airport, find that their baggage has been lost or damaged during the international flight, must contact the airline that operated the first flight of their trip.

Damaged baggage

As of the date of receiving their baggage, passengers have up to seven days to request indemnification by filling out the complaint form available on Air France’s website or mailing a complaint to Air France’s customer service center.

To report the incident before leaving the airport, the passenger must go to Air France’s baggage service office at the airport of arrival. The damage to the baggage will be assessed and the necessary information for repairs will be provided, as well as a reference number, which should be used to monitor the progress of the claim.

Carry-on baggage

Air France economy class passengers are entitled to 1 (one) carry-on baggage item, whose total dimensions (length, width, height) may not exceed 115 cm (45 inches), including pockets, wheels and handles, and whose weight must not exceed 12 kg (26 lbs). Passengers travelling on all other classes are entitled to 2 (two) carry-on baggage items with the abovementioned size restrictions and whose total weight may not exceed 18 kg (40 lbs).

On GOL aircraft, the maximum weight for carry-on baggage is 5 kg (11 lbs). GOL will not accept carry-on baggage exceeding 10 kg (22 lbs). In such cases, the baggage will be checked.

Valuable objects like jewelry and cash must also be transported in carry-on baggage.

Bladed or blunt weapons, firearms, firearm cartridges and ammunition, printer cartridges, liquids in bottles over 100 ml, combustible materials, batteries with electrolytes, lithium batteries with output greater than 160 Wh, fireworks, explosives, paint, chemical products and mercury thermometers are prohibited in carry-on baggage.

To fly between Argentina and Brazil, you must present a photo ID that is valid in one of the countries. A passport is not required for Brazilian and Argentinean nationals. Examples: National Identity Document (DNI), Passport, Brazilian National ID, MERCOSUR Identity Card issued by the Federal Police, Identity Card issued by the Federal Police in a MERCOSUR member country (may be used until March 15, 2012), Military Registration (may be used until March 15, 2012), Civic Booklet (may be used until March 15, 2012.)12).

Aerolineas Argentinas allows passengers to bring a stroller or a collapsible stroller into the passenger cabin only if there is space available. If space is not available, passengers must check those items. On GOL flights, passengers can check 1 (one) baby stroller and 1 (one) car seat per child as an extra baggage allowance, free of charge.

Children under 2 (two) years of age are not entitled to a baggage allowance unless a seat has been purchased for them. Children not occupying a seat are entitled to a piece of baggage of up to 10kg (22 lbs) whose dimensions do not exceed a sum of 115 cm (45 inches).

Aerolineas Argentinas does not charge excess baggage fees nor deducts from the total baggage allowance for sporting equipment weighing under 15 kg (33 lbs). If the sporting equipment exceeds this weight or there are additional equipment, the excess baggage fee will apply.

In the case of ski equipment, for example: each passenger is allowed to transport, free of charge, one pair of skis, one pair of boots and one pair of ski poles; or one pair of water skis; or one snowboard and one pair of boots, as long as they do not exceed 15 kg (33 lbs). If the weight of the equipment exceeds these limits or there are additional equipment, the excess baggage fee will apply. The following fees will apply to surfing and windsurfing boards: if it doesn’t exceeds 277 cm (109 inches), it will be charged as 5kg (11 lbs) of excess baggage; if it exceeds 277 cm (109 inches), it will be charged as 8kg (18 lbs) of excess baggage.

The carry-on baggage of Club Economy class passengers on Aerolíneas Argentinas flights must not exceed 55 cm (22 inches) in height and 35 cm (14) in width. The carryon baggage of Economy class passengers must not exceed 55 cm (22 inches) in height and 25 cm (10 inches) in width.

Carry-on baggage

The carry-on baggage of Club Economy class passengers on Aerolíneas Argentinas flights must not exceed 55 cm (22 inches) in height and 35 cm (14) in width. The carryon baggage of Economy class passengers must not exceed 55 cm (22 inches) in height and 25 cm (10 inches) in width.

The weight limit is 5 kg (11 lbs). GOL will not accept carry-on baggage exceeding 10 kg (22 lbs). In such cases, the baggage will be checked.

All electronics must be transported as carry-on baggage. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must go through the x-ray machine at the security checkpoint. For this reason, these items must travel with you.

Valuable objects like jewelry and cash must also be transported in carry-on baggage. As is the case with GOL flights, knives, scissors, axes, firearms, handguns and explosives are prohibited in carry-on baggage.

Infants

To ensure your comfort on international flights, GOL offers a baggage allowance for children younger than 2 years of age.

You can check baggage up to 10 kg (22 lbs) for your baby.

USA: one piece weighing up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).

Children

Unaccompanied minors may not fly on codeshare flights.

If the child is travelling with any other adult who is not at least a third degree relative, a notarized, explicit authorization from a parent or guardian is required. In the case of Aerolineas flights, the authorization must contain the accompanying adult’s address.

Expectant mothers

Expectant mothers may travel up to their 32nd week of pregnancy. Expectant mothers must fill out a Pregnant Passenger Transportation form, which must be submitted at the airport along with a medical authorization, or rather, an official declaration written and signed by the expectant mother’s doctor, authorizing her to fly and stating that the birth will not occur during the flight. Expectant mothers who will be travelling on both airlines must comply with the policies of both airlines.

Transportation of children’s items

On Etihad Airways flights, if an infant is being travelling with a baby carrier or a car seat, the following items may be transported free of charge. as long as their total weight without the infant does not exceed 7 kg (15 lbs): bedclothes, napkins, baby bottles, and enough food for the trip. Furthermore, the sum of your baggage’s dimensions must not exceed 115 cm (45 inches).

For passengers with connecting flights, GOL carry-on regulations will apply starting with the first segment operated by GOL. Understand these rules before you travel.

Carry-on baggage

Etihad economy class passengers are entitled to 1 (one) carry-on baggage, whose summed dimensions (length, width, height) may not exceed 115 cm (45 inches) and whose weight must not exceed 7 kg (15 lbs). Passengers travelling on all other classes are entitled to 2 (two) carry-on baggage items with the abovementioned dimensions, but whose total weight may not exceed 12 kg (26 lbs).

In accord with Brazilian regulations, carry-on baggage on GOL flights may not exceed 5 kg (11 lbs). Carry-on baggage exceeding this weight will be checked free of charge.

On GOL aircraft, the maximum weight for carry-on baggage is 5 kg (11 lbs). GOL will not accept carry-on baggage exceeding 7 kg (15 lbs). Should carry-on baggage exceed this weight, it will be checked free of charge.

Etihad Luxury Coach

Passengers traveling in Etihad’s Economy Class are given access to the Etihad Luxury Coach service, a benefit provided to passengers with confirmed bus reservations that are part of their Etihad Airways itinerary. Service is available between Abu Dhabi International Airport, Dubai and Al Ain.

How to make a reservation

To make sure they have a reserved seat on a bus, passengers must request the service on Etihad’s website up to 24 hours before their flight. It is also possible to book this service through Etihad’s local offices and contact centers or the passenger’s travel agency.

At the airport

The Etihad Luxury Coach buses are located on the bottom level, at the arrivals section. Passengers should follow the signs after passing through customs.

Traveling from/to Dubai

The Dubai bus stop is located downtown, at Etihad Travel Mall. The trip between Etihad Travel Mall and Abu Dhabi Airport takes approximately 75 minutes. Bus schedules are available on Etihad’s website.

Traveling from/to Al Ain

The trip between Al Ain and Abu Dhabi Airport takes approximately 90 minutes. Bus schedules are available on Etihad’s website.

The Etihad Luxury Coach service is not available to unaccompanied minors. The service can be used only by travelers who have a flight arriving at or departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport on the same day. The service cannot be used on any other day, for any reason.

Children

Expectant Mothers

Expectant mothers between 29 and 36 weeks pregnant must present a medical authorization to fly and are not allowed to fly after the beginning of their 37th week of pregnancy.

Expectant mothers pregnant with more than one child (twins, triplets, etc.) who are between 29 and 32 weeks pregnant must present a medical authorization to fly and are not allowed to fly after the beginning of their 33rd week of pregnancy.

Medical authorizations must be in English. Authorizations written in other languages will be accepted, provided airport employees understand them.

Unaccompanied minors

Unaccompanied minors may not fly on codeshare flights. (5 to 17 years of age).

Infants

When a passenger travelling to Brazil from Panama is making a connection, the checked baggage must be claimed at the first Brazilian destination. After going through the mandatory customs procedures, the passenger must go to a GOL counter to check their baggage again.

We recommend notifying the baggage service at the destination airport that an item is missing as soon as possible. The passenger will receive a document (Property Irregularity Report – PIR) that must be filled out before the passenger leaves the airport. A dossier number will be provided and should be saved by the passenger, as it will be used to track his or her claim.

Damaged baggage

Identify yourself to an employee of the airline that operated your last flight and notify them of the incident before leaving the airport. The damage to the baggage will be assessed and the information needed for reparation will be provided, along with a dossier number, which should be saved and used to monitor the progress of the claim.

Copa Airlines economy class passengers are entitled to 1 (one) carry-on baggage item, whose dimensions (length, width, height) may not exceed a sum of 115 cm (45.3 inches) and whose weight may not exceed 10 kg (22 lbs).
