Reduction in carbon dioxide emissions
Supporting the global initiative to reduce polluting gases, GOL was able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by ASK (multiplication of available seats by flight distance) by 6% between January 2004 and December 2006.

The first commander
In September, Elisa Rossi became the first woman to fly a GOL aircraft. She had been with the company for three and a half years and had 8,500 flying hours.
