On February 11, GOL became the first Brazilian airline to train its pilots at the SIM Industries Training Center, which offers state-of-the-art simulators.

On March 21, the airline began selling tickets on its Facebook page, being the first airline to offer the service.

Paperless boarding
The company now offers another facility for passengers: the virtual boarding pass, received via cell phone, without the use of paper.

Brazilian national team
GOL becomes the official carrier of the Brazilian soccer team and signs an exclusive contract with the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) to transport the delegations that participate in the Brazil Cup and the Brazilian Championship games. One of the aircraft used for transportation was painted with the colors of Brazil by a team of 60 collaborators.

GOL + Comfort
To meet the desire of its customers for more comfort, GOL now offers aircraft with a longer distance between seats on all Ponte Aérea flights, providing more comfort and a new flight experience. With the new configuration, in addition to the locked middle seat, the distance between the rows increased from 30 to 34 inches and the backrest recline increased by 50%. Domestic flights have been launched on aircraft with a longer distance between seats, which provide more comfort to customers. The middle seat is also locked, increasing well-being during the flight.

Flight anticipation
GOL provided the “anticipate flight” function for smartphones, making it easier for customers to travel. Boarding can be advanced up to six hours.

Biofuel
Boeing and GOL began working together to accelerate research, development, and approval of new sustainable biofuel sources for aviation in Brazil.
