GOL: 18 years of history

18 years ago, Brazilians embraced a new way of flying. Since then, more than 450 million people have traveled on around 3.8 million GOL flights. To return the affection, we fulfilled the wish of a young man who is passionate about aviation and who dreams of becoming a pilot. That's how Gustavo, who also turned 18, flew for the first time by plane and can still see behind the scenes of our way of flying.

Expansion of the in-flight service

That year we had great partnerships to make our free onboard service even more special. We serve a Happy Hour with Johnny Rockets hamburgers in the FOR-SSA, SSA-CGH, SSA-FOR and CGH-SSA sections. In addition, every Monday and Tuesday flight, on the CGH-SDU and CGH-BSB airlifts, passengers have the opportunity to eat a warm cheese roll stuffed from Catupiry.

Architectural Accessibility Seal

The Municipal Secretariat for People with Disabilities, of the São Paulo City Hall, recognizes GOL for the innovative access ramp project, used for remote boarding and disembarkation at Congonhas airport. The Seal certifies that the equipment complies with accessibility standards for people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
