Special Services

To request special services, contact the service center
of each airline responsible for operating the parts of the trip. Note:
some services may not be available on flights in partnership with another
company, consult the service center.

The request for assistance for passengers with special needs must be requested when booking the ticket or at least 72 hours before departure. For flights that originate in Brazil, the request for special assistance, such as wheelchairs, can be made at least 48 hours before departure.

Unaccompanied minors
Children under 16 are not allowed to travel unaccompanied.

Babies
Infants up to 1 year and 11 months old pay 10% of the adult fare, but must travel on the lap of a responsible adult over 18 years of age. Only one baby is allowed on a lap per customer.

Pregnant women
Below are guidelines for pregnant women traveling with TAP Air Portugal:

  • Less than 30 weeks pregnant: Visit your doctor and confirm that traveling by plane is the appropriate option for your general health.
  • More than 30 weeks of pregnancy or at risk (at any time): it is mandatory to obtain written authorization from your doctor. Present the certificate during check-in.

In the certificate, the doctor must authorize your trip in writing, taking into account the destination of the flight and the duration of your trip. During check-in, you must complete a form.
