Mobile phones, digital cameras, laptops (notebook/laptop), wristwatches, tablets, calculators, camcorders, speakers, drones, toys, shavers, tools, and other battery-operated appliances powered by lithium batteries.
Small suitcase, bag or backpack on board
Items with lithium batteries (lithium-ion, lithium metal) are only allowed on board with GOL's approval and subject to limitations:
- For lithium-ion batteries, limited to up to 100Wh
- For lithium metal batteries, limited to up to 2 g
- Up to 15 battery-powered devices are allowed per passenger
Checked baggage
- Not allowed
How to transport
- Devices must be packed and transported in a way that prevents unintentional activation and protects against damage.
- Whenever possible, lithium battery electronic devices should be stored in the compartment or under the seat in front of you, or if possible, in your clothing pocket.
Specific cases
- Electric scooters and skateboards (such as hoverboards, segways, balance wheels, and similar) are prohibited
- For power tools, the battery must be transported on board â check the guidelines on "Extra lithium batteries (spare batteries)"
- Personal tracking devices (e.g., air tags) may be kept in checked baggage
- Smart bags and luggage with batteries integrated into the bag are allowed on board, adhering to battery limitations and carry-on rules. If it is necessary to check the smart bag, the battery must be removed and transported on board
- The size of items must not exceed the dimensions allowed for transport on board
Important
- To calculate Wh, multiply Ah (Ampere-hour) by V (Volt)
- For transporting a larger quantity of equipment/client, prior approval from GOL is required
- Passengers with an Apple notebook, MacBook Pro model 15 inches, manufactured between September 2015 and February 2017, must keep the device turned off during the flight and not charge the battery on board
- Prohibition throughout Venezuelan territory on the operation, circulation, distribution, importation, and exportation of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA or drones), including their parts or components (Gaceta Oficial Venezuela nro. 6.927 Extraordinario, dated August 18, 2025)
