- original Identity Card (ID);
- Original Civil Identity Record (RIC);
- Original Foreign Identity Card issued by the Federal Police (RNE);
- Original and valid passport.
If you are a citizen of a full member country or associated state of Mercosur, you are allowed to present only the original identity card or passport within the validity period.
If you are a foreigner from a country outside Mercosur (and you are also not from an Associated State), you must present your passport.
Important: all documents must be within the validity period, with the exception of the RNE for the elderly over 60.
Boarding rules for passengers bound for Venezuela

It is mandatory to present a valid passport of your nationality upon boarding.

For passengers with Venezuelan nationality who do not have a valid Venezuelan passport, it is necessary to request a “Travel Document” from the Venezuelan Embassy or Consulate in the country of residence.

Venezuelan passengers with dual nationality can board with an expired Venezuelan passport, provided that they present the valid passport of the other nationality.
Attention: The Venezuelan national identity card and the RG (Brazilian General Registry) are not accepted for boarding, even if they are within the validity period.

Do citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia need a visa to enter Brazil?
As of April 10, 2025, citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia must obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) to enter Brazil on trips of up to 90 days for tourism or business.
How to request:
The application process is 100% online and can be done through the official Brazilian visa website, without the need to attend a consulate
Processing time:
The visa will be processed in approximately 5 business days. It is recommended to make the request in advance to avoid potential setbacks
Receipt of the visa:
Applicants will receive the eVisa in PDF format via email. It is mandatory to download, print and present the document both when boarding and disembarking in Brazil
Exception:
The eVisa is not required for passengers in transit, as long as they remain in the international boarding area and do not pass immigration control.

What does the new system consist of?
The EES electronically records personal travel data, passport, and biometric data (facial photo and four fingerprints). This data is organized and stored in accordance with European Union data protection regulations.

What changes in the immigration process?
The stamp on the passport is replaced by a digital record. On the first pass, the migratory agent will collect your photo and fingerprints. In future trips, the process tends to be faster, as the data will already be registered
Do I need to register before traveling?
No prior registration is required, as the process is carried out under migration control upon arrival. However, for a more fluid and agile journey, we recommend using the self-service totems and the official Travel to Europe app to fill in the data in advance, reducing your waiting time. Even so, the final check must always be done with a migratory agent
