Emergency Assistance
Understand the rules in the event of the death of a family member

In the event of the death of a family member, GOL offers a different price
of fare for those who need to take an emergency trip. Here's how it works:

  • Emergency Assistance is considered only for the death of a family member (spouse, father, mother, or child).
  • This refund is exclusive for direct passengers, meaning it is only applicable for tickets purchased directly with GOL. This refund is not available for travel agents.
  • To request a refund, you must contact Contact GOL, on 0300 115 2121, in possession of the necessary documentation.
  • If you have already purchased a ticket, the traveler can request a refund within 7 days of death.
  • The granting of reimbursement is subject to review of the information provided.
  • The documents required for Emergency Assistance are an original death certificate, a death certificate/declaration, and original legal documentation attesting to the family relationship.
  • The refund of 50% of the fare paid will be granted exclusively by crediting the GOL Account, after the flight has taken place. The percentage applies solely to the regular amount of the base fare and is not applicable to airport taxes, additional contracted services and/or contractual penalties.
  • Emergency Assistance is valid exclusively for flights operated and sold by GOL in the national territory.
