Hiring the accompaniment service is mandatory for children and teenagers aged 8 years to uncompleted 16 years old. GOL does not transport unaccompanied minors who are under 8 years of age.

Documents for domestic flights

If you are the father, mother or legal guardian of a minor aged between 08 years to 15 years and 11 months who needs to travel unaccompanied by domestic air, provide the valid documents for boarding. The minor must travel with:

• Authorization of either parent or legal guardian, through public deed or private document with notarized signature. An authorization from the Juvenile Court or a valid passport containing the express authorization for the minor to travel abroad unaccompanied may also be presented (authorization valid also for domestic travel - Resolution 295 CNJ);¹

• Valid personal identification document, such as a passport, Identity Card (RG) or Birth Certificate; ²

• Unaccompanied Minor Travel Authorization Protocol completed in 3 copies.

The assistance guarantees that Customers with the service will be accompanied at all stages of the trip, including in cases of flight delay. It is under constant supervision by the airport and crew team, but monitoring is not exclusive. When boarding, he is welcomed and taken to the aircraft. On the plane, it is accommodated and is the responsibility of the cabin chief. Arriving at the destination, a member of GOL's Airports team accompanies our Client to a person in charge at the arrival airport.​​​​​​​

Documents for international flights

Children and teenagers from 08 years to 17 years and 11 months can travel unaccompanied to other countries with:

• Valid personal identification document, such as a Passport or Identity Card (only for MERCOSUR countries);

• Authorization in duplicate from both parents or legal guardians, with photo of the child (optional), expiration date³ and notarized signature for authenticity or similarity. A judicial authorization (compulsory in two copies) or a valid passport containing, on the identification page, the authorization for unaccompanied international travel may also be presented;

• Unaccompanied Minor Travel Authorization Protocol completed in 3 copies.

What you must know:
  • The Voe Junto Accompaniment it is mandatory for passengers from 8 years old to 16 years old, and optional for customers over 16 years old, and does not replace passengers who, due to legal or medical reasons, need accompaniment.
  • GOL employees will be in charge of accompanying the passenger to the aircraft. During the flight, he will be under the responsibility of the cabin chief.
  • Upon arrival at the airport, a member of the GOL team will greet you and take you to the person in charge.
  • GOL does not transport unaccompanied children under 8 years of age.
  • The service is not available for connecting flights and stopover.
  • At the airport, parents or guardians must go to the GOL counter and present the necessary documents for the service.
  • It is necessary that the person responsible for the child or teenager remains at the airport until the flight departure confirmation.
  • The service is available only on flights operated exclusively by GOL.

  • GOL does not offer the Voe Junto Companion Service on flights operated by partner airlines.

  • The service is not available for purchase on flights with connections or stopovers.

  • The service is not available for flights with origin or destination in Europe.

  • For flights with origin or destination in Aruba, it is necessary to previously check the documentation required for unaccompanied minors, in accordance with the requirements established by the Consulate of Aruba.

  • For flights with origin or destination in Costa Rica, it is necessary to verify the documentation required for unaccompanied minors. More details are available on the website of the General Directorate of Migration and Foreign Affairs.

​​​​​​​If you prefer, the service can also be hired directly at GOL's service counter at the airport. Take advantage of GOL's easiness and stay calm following the trip of who you love. Check the rules of transportation of passengers with special medical conditions such as recently operated, with physical or intellectual disabilities or in any circumstance that requires accompaniment during the flight.

  •  Voe Junto Accompaniment is available to customers who have contracted the tracking service. The acquisition is mandatory for customers between 08 and 15 years and 11 months.
  • This service does not replace passengers who, due to legal or medical reasons, need to be accompanied.
  • Contracting this service does not supply any documents required by the Company for boarding authorization. For more details, please refer to the page with information about traveling with babies and minors.
  • GOL employees are responsible for accompanying the passenger to the aircraft. During the flight, it is under the responsibility of the cabin chief. Upon arrival, a member of GOL's airport team greets you and takes you to a supervisor. Monitoring is not done by an exclusive or dedicated contributor.
  • In the event of any operational irregularity, such as flight cancellation or delay, which may impact the customer's trip, GOL contacts the person in charge indicated at the time of acceptance, to verify the best accommodation for the customer. If there is a need to change flights, our team will provide all necessary support and accompany you until the end of the trip.
  • The service is not available for connecting flights and stopover.
  • This service is not available on flights to or from Europe.
  • If your flight is to or from Aruba, please check the required documents for unaccompanied minors. Contact the Aruba Consulate for detailed information.
  • For flights to or from Costa Rica, it is necessary to check the documentation required for unaccompanied minors. For more information, the Migration body (Dirección General de Migrácion y Extranjería) provides information on the procedure and its requirements on its website.
  • Product refunds are allowed exclusively for customers with Flex, Premium Economy, INSIGNIA Business Classic and INSIGNIA Business Flex fares when requested before boarding, through My Trips or the customer service center. For Basic, Light, and Classic fares, refunds are not available.
  • Refunds requested after the flight (no-show) are not allowed, regardless of the fare type.
  • Questions and service suggestions are received by the GOL Customer Relationship Center.
