Stopover

How about a break before you reach your destination?

Did you know that you can disembark between the origin and final destination of your trip to enjoy the attractions of São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro? Take advantage of this opportunity to visit these cities for up to three nights, at no additional cost to the fare.

Understand how it works

Embarque

You begin your trip, which includes a connecting flight at airports in São Paulo (CGH, GRU or VCP), Brasília (BSB) or Rio de Janeiro (SDU and GIG).

Localização

Disembark at a stop in the corresponding city: São Paulo, Campinas, Brasília, or Rio de Janeiro.

Aproveite o tempo

Time to take advantage of the extra time to explore the attractions the place has to offer.

Avião

Now, you embark once again, but this time toward the final destination of your journey.

You can fly with a stopover on only one leg of your trip.

Therefore, pay attention when making your reservation. Check the following:

  • Search for your flight and click on the Stopover option.
  • Choose whether you want to make the stop on the outbound or return leg of the journey.
  • Then, simply select the dates and airports of origin, destination, and stopover point.

It's important to know

When selecting a stopover point, please note that you will need to re-board at the same airport to continue your journey to the final destination of this leg of the trip. In other words, during your stopover you must disembark and re-board using the same airport each time.

Learn about other rules

You must collect your checked baggage at the stopover point and, after the stopover period, check it in again when you re-board. Furthermore, if you wish to purchase additional baggage, you must purchase the additional bag(s) separately for each leg of the journey involving the stopover.

The fee is applied individually for each leg of the stopover. This is because you will be using the airport's departure services to reach the city where you will be making the stopover, and you will use those same services again when re-boarding at that same airport for your final destination.

With Stopover, you can make layovers of 8 hours to 3 nights between your domestic flights within Brazil. For international trips, the layover can be from 24 hours to 3 nights.

You must stay overnight at least once within these periods.
