Environmental Policy

GOL is one of Brazil's leading domestic airlines and part of the Abra Group. Since its founding in 2001, it has offered affordable tickets at the lowest cost in Latin America, democratizing air travel. GOL has alliances with international airlines and offers 18 codeshare and interline agreements to its customers, bringing more convenience and simple connections to any location served by these partnerships. With the purpose of "Being First for Everyone," GOL offers the best travel experience to its passengers and the best loyalty program, Smiles. In cargo transport, GOLLOG enables the delivery of packages to various regions of Brazil and abroad.

GOL's Environmental Policy aims to strategically promote the sustainability of its operations, encompassing Flight Operations and Corporate Buildings. GOL's fleet has more than 130 aircraft, operating to more than 80 destinations, 65 domestic and 16 international, in 12 countries. Therefore, the Company established the following principles and guidelines to structure its Environmental Management System:

Environmental Management: ​​​​​​​Establishes criteria for environmental management practices and methods in order to reduce the environmental impacts of operations in compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Eco-efficiency:  Promotes the concept of the rational use of environmental resources, prioritizing more sustainable inputs and acting systematically in the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste.

Nossos princípios ambientais: 

Propósito: Prevenir qualquer tipo de poluição nas operações, visando a proteção dos recursos naturais, biodiversidade e clima. Assim, uma cultura ambiental nos processos é estabelecida para que a melhoria contínua do Sistema de Gestão Ambiental da GOL possa ser mantida. 

Missão: Mapear e controlar todos os aspectos e impactos ambientais das operações, para que os riscos associados tanto ao Meio Ambiente quanto ao negócio da Companhia sejam eliminados, mitigados ou monitorados através de indicadores.

Visão: Ser reconhecida pelas ações desenvolvidas em prol a preservação do Meio Ambiente.

Valores: Desenvolver e implementar iniciativas para a melhoria contínua dos processos ambientais com soluções inteligentes, inovadoras, tecnológicas e de baixo impacto, para que metas de curto, médio e longo prazo possam ser alcançadas.
