GOL+ comfort seats are available on all flights, and all feature more legroom and 50% more recline.
The only exception is seats in row 15 on the Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-800-8, as they do not recline.
To ensure the safety criteria established by GOL, we are responsible for assessing the ability of travelers to operate the emergency exit at the time of the flight.
Before selecting a seat, travelers should also assess their readiness and physical fitness to comply with the procedures.
Please note that if the requirements are not met or the previously reserved seat cannot be offered, GOL will refund the amount paid for the emergency exit reservation in full.
Instructions for using seats located at emergency exits
In the event of an emergency where crew members are unavailable, the
passenger occupying a seat next to the emergency exit may be
assigned to perform the following tasks:
- Locate the emergency exit.
- Identify the emergency exit opening mechanism.
- Understand the instructions for operating the emergency exit.
- Operate the emergency exit.
- Assess whether opening the emergency exit will cause physical harm to passengers.
- Follow the verbal and hand-signal instructions of a flight attendant.
- Keep the emergency exit clear of objects that obstruct access.
- Exit through the emergency exit.
- Assess the situation, choose a safe location away from the aircraft, and guide people to it.
Who is not allowed to sit in the seats located at the emergency exit
- People with mobility, flexibility, or dexterity disabilities in
arms or legs that are not capable of:- Get up and down to reach the emergency exit or
slide mechanism - Pick up, push away, pull, turn, or manipulate these mechanisms
- Push, remove, pull, or open the emergency exit
- Quickly reach the emergency exit
- Maintain balance while removing obstacles
- Exit quickly
- Get up and down to reach the emergency exit or
- People under 15 years of age or unable to
perform one or more of the functions listed in these instructions without
the assistance of an adult. - People over 60 years of age.
- People who are unable to read and understand instructions
regarding evacuation procedures or to understand them (in
forms (printed, written, or graphic), or that have difficulty
understanding of the verbal commands dictated by the crew. - People who do not have sufficient visual capacity to
perform one or more of the functions listed in these instructions without
contact lens or eyeglass assistance. - People who are unable to hear and understand instructions
of the crew members expressed aloud, without the assistance of a device
auditory. - People who are unable to provide verbal information to
other passengers. - People who have:
- A liability condition that may inhibit you from exercising these
functions, such as being with a small child.
- Possibility of being injured if they play one or more
functions related in these instructions - This and other information is contained on the security card
located on the aircraft emergency exit seats
Passengers must identify themselves to change seats in the following cases
- Does not meet the criteria listed in this instruction.
- Does not know whether your condition will prevent you from performing one or more of the listed functions.
- Could suffer physical harm as a result of performing one or more functions.
- Does not want to perform these functions.
