TAKING HOME THE WINES OF MONTEVIDEO

Montevideo is known for offering some of Uruguay's best wines. It's a great option to bring back as a gift or even to enjoy at home. Therefore, we have some information for packing bottles of wine in your luggage.

Choose a hard-shell suitcase to carry your drinks and, inside the luggage, avoid direct contact between the bottles, as the risk of breakage is higher. Use clothing to protect them, but first wrap the bottles in some plastic to avoid significant losses if they break. Positioning them in the center of the suitcase is safer.

On GOL airlines, both carry-on and checked baggage allow up to 5 liters distributed in original bottles sealed by the manufacturer. Each bottle must be up to 1 liter, with a maximum alcohol content of 70%.
