Credit

When you cancel or change a flight, you may be left with a credit, that is, an amount opened with GOL. By choosing this option, you can use this amount for new ticket purchases, including promotional rates; to supplement the fare difference or to pay any fees at the airport.

Confirming the credit, you will have a period of 365 calendar days, starting from the date the credit was generated, to use this amount.

If you haven't used your card and want to request the credits, click here and find out how. Remember that the purchase of tickets with third-party cards is allowed, but the transfer of credits between GOL accounts is not authorized, however you can use this credit to purchase on behalf of third parties

.

Stay tuned! If you are not registered on the site, you will not be able to get credit with GOL. In this case, you can only receive the amount you are entitled to in the form of a refund. For more information, contact our Online Service.

Refund

When you change and have a residual value to receive or cancel a flight, you also have the option of requesting a refund of these amounts. By making this choice, you will receive back part of the amount paid for the same payment method. From this amount, some fees may be deducted, such as: cancellation, no-show and refund penalty, according to the tariff rules contracted at the time of purchase. If the requested refund is for an amount linked to a credit, the corresponding appropriate fees will apply

.

Be aware: some fares have mandatory round-trip conditions, so they do not allow refunds after using the first flight.

You will have up to 365 calendar days from the date you purchased your ticket to request a refund.

For more information about the reimbursement period for flights that cover the period from 19/03/2020 to 31/10/2021, find out more.

Attention: if you used a debit card or cash to purchase your ticket, contact us on 0800 704 0465 and enter your bank details to receive the refundable amount.

If you issued your ticket using Smiles miles to fly with GOL, be careful not to miss your flight and miles. Since May 2012, in cases of no-show (no-show at boarding), they have ceased to be refundable. Contact Smiles to verify the details of this rule

.

Failure to show up for boarding — No-show

Failure to show up to check-in in a timely manner for attendance¹ or at the boarding gate² is considered to be at the show. When this happens, the passenger must pay a fee according to the specific fare rule.

When buying return flights, if the outbound route is not used, your return ticket is guaranteed, as long as you contact us until the first flight takes off.

To avoid inconvenience, always try to cancel any reservations you are not going to use in advance.

In case of rebooking for a new flight, the passenger will have to bear any fare differences, if any, both due to price increases and because of the unavailability of the same fare class for the new desired flight.

importantly

Airport Fees:
Airport fares are refundable and are not part of the basis for calculating fines

or penalties.

Withdrawal:
For purchases made 7 days or more in advance of the boarding date, the passenger may cancel the purchased airline ticket, free of charge, provided that they do so within 24 hours of receiving their voucher. In other cases, the passenger may request cancellation, credit or refund, and penalties may apply according

to the fare rule.
