Right after arriving at the airport, look for the counter of the company responsible for operating the first leg of your journey. The check-in of the flights operated between GOL and Aerolíneas must be done at the counter. Remember that you must have the valid documentation* for the trip, as valid passport, visas and vaccines. In order to check the baggage, you must go to the counters of the operator of the first leg.
*The documentation (including visas and vaccines) is the passenger’s responsibility. We suggest you to consult the embassies of the destination countries so there are no setbacks.
Contact the Customer Service of airline responsible for operating the first leg of the journey to request special services.
Seat selection is available on boarding day, when checking-in, directly with the partner airline that the costumer will fly. In case is a connection flight with the partner airline, the client will receive a second boarding pass with random seat selected.
For round trips with the 1st flight departing from South America, the allowance below applies:
• Light fare: does not include checked baggage
• Plus fare: 2 bags up to 23 kg each
• Premium Economy: 2 bags up to 23 kg each
The international baggage allowance is honored by GOL only for flights issued on the same e-ticket locator. For flights issued journey by journey (purchased separately), even with a partner airline, the international baggage allowance will not be honored. In this case, the allowance of the acquired section applies.
It is not possible to purchase checked baggage in advance on digital channels. The purchase must be made directly at the counter of the company operating the selected flight.
If there is excess baggage, it is possible to pay for the value of the excess when checking-in, directly at the counter.
Fragile items are accepted, since they are properly packed. However, if the item is damaged for any reason, the company will not be hold accountable for the refund.
No perishable food is allowed. For more information, contact the consular or customs services of the countries of destination and transit.
Transporting baby items (from 0 to 2 years old) If the baby travels in an own (reserved) seat, the baby has the same amount of luggage as an adult. If the baby travels on the passenger’s lap, you can dispatch:
• One hold baggage of a maximum of 10 kg
A complimentary allowance of 1 baby stroller (for use) and/or a baby carrier will be provided free of charge.
Baggage withdraw of flights with partners must be done at the final destination, in the case of passengers in connection flights, the baggage must be collected at the first stop in the country. After the mandatory customs procedures, the customer must go to the GOL counter to re-check the baggage.
For cases of lost luggage, the responsibility for registering and tracking the status of the baggage process rests with the last airline to transport the passenger. If lost luggage is identified when connecting international flights to GOL's domestic flights, the customer must file the baggage claim with the company that transported the passenger in the previous leg.
One hand luggage is allowed, the size of the luggage cannot exceed 55 cm in height, 40 cm in width and 25 cm in length including pockets, wheels and handles and a total weight of up to 10 kg.
All electronics must be transported as carry-on luggage. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must go through the airport X-ray machine at the entrance to the departure lounge. Valuables, such as jewellery and cash, are also only accepted as carry-on baggage. The transport of cold weapons, firearms, cartridges and ammunition for firearms, printer cartridges, liquids containing more than 100 ml per bottle, fuels, batteries with electrolyte, lithium batteries with a power of more than 160 Wh, fires fireworks, bombs, paints, chemicals and mercury thermometers is forbidden as carry-on luggage.
If you do not show up for the boarding (no-show) of partner airlines, call the GOL Customer Service Center (0800 704 0465) to carry out the refund procedure, according to the fare purchased.
The request for assistance for the passenger with special needs must be requested at the time of booking the ticket or at least 72 hours before departure. For flights originating in Brazil, the request for special assistance such as a wheelchair can be made at least 48 hours before departure.
Unaccompanied minors Unaccompanied minors from 5 to 12 years old are not accepted on flights operated by the GOL and Aerolíneas partnership.
Children under 2 years of age (1 year and 11 months old) always travel at a reduced rate if traveling on their parents' laps. 10% of the adult ticket fare will be charged. Only one lap baby is allowed per customer.
Unaccompanied minors are not accepted on partner flights. If the child is traveling with any adult who does not qualify as a third-degree relative, express authorization from the parent or legal guardian must be presented. In the case of Aerolíneas, the authorization must also contain the address of the companion. Boarding is permitted for expectant mothers who do not exceed 32 weeks of gestation. Pregnant passengers must complete a Transport for Pregnant Passengers form, which must be delivered at the airport accompanied by a medical certificate, that is, an official statement, written and signed by the doctor himself, authorizing the trip and alleging that the delivery will not take place. on board. The transport of any live animal is not accepted on flights operated by the GOL and Aerolíneas partnership, except for a Guide Dog.
