There is always a practical and easy way to check in with GOL. You can check in from wherever you are through our website or app or, if you prefer, use our self-service totems located at airports.

If you don't want to use the digital channels, you can also go to the service desk to check in with our Eagle Team, which is made up of GOL Employees always willing to help.

New: It is now possible to check in babies under 2 years old through GOL digital channels. Children and teenagers can also have their check-in anticipated through the website or app.

 

When is check in available?

It is very important to be aware of the period in which you can check in, as depending on the chosen channel there may be some variations:

Check-in via application, website or totem

  • Domestic and international flights: Check-in is available 48 hours before the flight and may close
     
  • Flights to the United States operated by GOL: check-in is available from 24 hours before the flight and closes 1 hour before the flight.



Check-in at the service desk

  • Domestic and international flights: Check-in is available 3 hours before the flight and closes 1 hour before the flight;
     
  • Flights to the United States operated by GOL: check-in is available 3 hours before the flight and closes 1 hour before the flight.

How far in advance should you arrive at the airport

Airport check in service is available between 3 hours and 1 hour before the flight. If you need to check baggage, we recommend early arrival to avoid queues and crowds.

Important: even if you need to check baggage, you can check in early to make your trip faster. Discover the GOL express baggage service.


Cases where it is not allowed to check-in through GOL's digital channels.

There are some scenarios where check-in through GOL's digital channels is not allowed:

  • Flights with Partners (Codeshare);
  • Travel to routes where there may be a need for additional processes for security reasons;
  • Travel for routes where there may be a need for documentation control and additional requirements related to Covid-19;
  • Journeys that may include a service request for a person with a disability.

Understand your boarding pass information

To check in it is very important to know your locator number. This information is sent to your email and is also available on the GOL app or website (in the "My reservations" area). Find out where the locator is on your boarding pass and take the opportunity to learn about other available information.

1. Locator

Also known as reservation code, the locator is composed ofletters and numbers and identifies your ticket purchase. This code is essential for you to check-in, so please write down or print the receipt sent to your email so that you always have it at hand. You will also be able to easily access your locator through our app or website.

2. Personal data

Your ticket is nominal and non-transferable. You must present your boarding pass along with a personal photo ID.

3. Flight data

Identification of flight number, boarding gate and seat chosen at check-in.

4. Origin and destiny

Aircraft take-off and landing locations and times.

5. Boarding time

This is the time you must show up at the departure gate.

6. Bar code

It concentrates the information on the boarding pass for the electronic control carried out by the airport operator. It is used to ensure the necessary security when identifying the customer and giving him access to the departure lounge and the aircraft
