The baggage allowance is honored by GOL only for flights issued on the same ticket. For flights issued separately (purchased individually), even with a partner airline, the baggage allowance will not be honored. In these situations, the baggage allowance and rules for each purchased segment will apply. 

Paying for overweight baggage
At this time, GOL will not be offering the service of purchasing baggage in advance. 
In the case of extra or overweight baggage, the extra fee can only be paid at check-in.

Fragile items
Fragile items are accepted as long as they are properly packed. However, if the product is damaged for any reason, the company is not responsible for reimbursing you. Check out the airline contract to learn more.

Perishables
Perishable items are acceptable as long as they are properly packaged. However, the company is not responsible for reimbursement if the product is damaged for any reason. For more information, please review the airline contract.

Transport of items for infants (from 0 to 2 years of age)
If the infant is traveling in a separate (reserved) seat, the infant has the same checked baggage allowance as an adult. If they are traveling on the lap, you can check one piece of checked baggage up to 10 kg.
A complimentary allowance of 1 stroller (for use) and/or 1 baby carrier will be provided free of charge.

Lost baggage
In case of lost baggage, the last airline that transported the passenger is responsible for registering and monitoring the status of the baggage. 

Damaged Baggage
In the case of damaged baggage, the customer must contact the last carrier in order to file damaged baggage claim.

Baggage Rules

• Personal items: Items to be placed under the seat in front of the passenger. Acceptable items include backpacks, purses, laptop bags, airport shopping bags and camera/electronic cases. The maximum dimensions allowed for personal items are 35 cm wide, 45 cm high and 20 cm deep. Items that do not fit under the seat are not considered personal items and may be checked and subject to fees.
• Carry-on baggage: Carry-on baggage must be placed in the overhead compartments. It is therefore important to respect the dimensions and weights allowed: 35 cm wide, 55 cm high and 25 cm deep, including wheels (115 linear cm). The maximum weight allowed for carry-on baggage is 10 kg. If the baggage exceeds the established standards, the customer will be subject to an overweight baggage fee.
• Standard checked baggage: Each piece of checked baggage is equivalent to a single piece of baggage weighing up to 23 kg, with maximum dimensions of 50 cm wide, 80 cm high and 28 cm deep (158 linear cm). Overweight checked baggage is charged at the first carrier's rate, and the maximum weight for checked baggage is 32 kg. Items exceeding 158 linear centimeters in their entirety will be accepted only as special baggage, subject to the rules and charges established. It is not possible to pay additional charges for excess baggage dimensions.

All electronics must be carried as carry-on items. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must be screened through the airport's X-ray machine at the entrance to the departure lounge.

Valuables such as jewelry and cash must also be carried as carry-on items.

The following items are not allowed in carry-on baggage: bladed weapons, firearms, cartridges and ammunition for firearms, printer cartridges, bottles containing more than 100 ml of liquid, fuels, batteries with electrolytes, lithium batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh, fireworks, bombs, paints, chemicals and mercury thermometers.

Excess and excess baggage
For tickets purchased through GOL, on flights operated exclusively by the Partner or on flights connecting with GOL, it is not possible to purchase baggage in advance through our channels. This process can only be done at the airport on the day of departure, at the GOL check-in desk.

The following rates cover the entire current trip, with no additional payment required when connecting to a partner.
