Boeing 737 MAX
In 2018, the Boeing 737 MAX landed at GOL. Considered one of the most modern aircrafts in the world, this model is equipped with cutting-edge technology and opens up opportunities to new destinations, including new direct flights between Brazil and the U.S. In addition, the plane is more efficient, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by 15%.
Flights to MIA and MCO
GOL announced new direct flights to Miami and Orlando departing out of Brasilia and Fortaleza. The new routes began operating on November 4. The arrival of the modern 737 MAX airplanes equipped with the latest technology have made these new international flights possible, offering a better travel experience to customers.

To celebrate our close connection and relationship with our customers, GOL has announced a new visual identity for its brand. The rings in the logo are joined even closer together and new colors have been incorporated into the communications, while orange has been kept as the main color. In July, GOL launches its new app, which is available on both iOS and Android. In addition to the new layout, which is more modern and intuitive, the new app features the 'My Reservations' functionality, which allows passengers to make changes to their reservations, reschedule to an earlier flight and much more!
We launched the Travel Companion service to make travel even better for customers who use the Unaccompanied Minor service. The child wears a tracking code on a wristband so you can use the GOL app or your email to receive updates about every stage of his or her trip, from check-in to their final destination.
We launched VoeBiz, a loyalty program designed exclusively for small and midsize businesses. This initiative – the first of its kind by a Brazilian airline – allows companies to accrue points and exchange them for tickets or other exclusive benefits.

#WiFiOnGOLFirst – 1st commercial flight with Wi-Fi service
In its latest innovation, GOL is now the first commercial airline in South America to offer onboard Wi-Fi service. To mark the occasion and publicize the news, the company's president, Paulo Kakinoff, made Brazil’s very first Facebook Live transmission from aboard a commercial flight with internet access. This historic flight departed from Congonhas on Oct. 04, 2016, at 10:45 AM, on its way to Brasília.

GOL has just launched GOL Online, the most complete connectivity and entertainment platform of any Brazilian airline. The innovation allows passengers to stream movies, series, and much more, all free of charge and directly on their mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops. This exclusive and full-featured platform also allows for internet access over Wi-Fi.
GOL Premium Lounge
Seeking to continuously improve its customer experience, GOL is unveiling its domestic and international GOL Premium Lounges. GOL is the only Brazilian airline to offer comfortable, modern spaces with a variety of products and services. Among the numerous conveniences are workstations, a bar with an assortment of drinks, and a buffet with a wide range of options. The lounges are available to passengers waiting to board flights out of Rio de Janeiro's Galeão Airport and São Paulo's Guarulhos Airport.
GOL now has the first aircraft with eco-leather seats. The entire domestic and international fleet will be equipped with the more attractive and more comfortable new upholstery by the end of 2018. Lighter and more durable, eco-leather costs less to produce and reduces maintenance and fuel costs, and consequently decreases CO2 emissions.
Pet na Cabine
Pet owners may now travel with their pets in the airplane cabin, provided certain requirements are met. They must be transported in pet kennels and placed under the seat.

All passengers on GOL’s domestic flights now receive a complimentary Tribos, a whole-wheat snack made with organic ingredients and developed by Mãe Terra especially for GOL.

To fulfil its clients’ desire for more comfort, GOL begins using aircraft with more legroom for the air shuttle flights, providing more comfort and a new flight experience to its passengers. With the new seat configuration, in addition to the middle seat being blocked, the seats have 34 instead of 30 inches between rows and recline 50% more. GOL starts using aircraft with more legroom on domestic flights, providing more comfort to its passengers. The middle seat is also blocked, further increasing the comfort of passengers during flights.
GOL includes the “reschedule to an earlier flight” function on its smartphone app, making it easier for its passengers to travel. Passengers can now reschedule to a flight that is up to six hours earlier.
