GOL’s Maiden Flight
GOL kicks off its operations at 6:56 AM on January 15, when a Boeing 737-700 heading to the Congonhas Airport in São Paulo takes off from Brasília International Airport.
Launch of Gollog
Gollog, GOL’s cargo shipping service, begins operations on January 30, with the first cargo shipment on flight 1770, in the cargo hold of a Boeing 737-700.
Phased Maintenance
Another significant innovation is the phased maintenance, which involves daily aircraft inspections performed before the first flight of the day. This prevents aircraft from being grounded for more than five days, which is common in traditional maintenance.
E-ticket

GOL revolutionizes Brazilian commercial aviation by eliminating the traditional paper ticket and launching the reservation (locator) code. This makes traveling easier for passengers and helps ensure lower fares.
