At GOL, there are many ways to check in

Save time and check in from wherever you may be through one of our digital channels: website, app, Twitter or self-service kiosks. If you like, you can also check in at a GOL customer service counter at the airport.

Learn more about the available options, choose the one that is right for you and don’t wait to check in at the last minute.

Note

On domestic segments flying out of Brasília (DF), Galeão (RJ), Guarulhos (SP) and Congonhas (SP), passengers should complete the check-in at a self-service kiosk or at a customer service counter at least 40 minutes before departure. For international flights, passengers must check in at least 2 hours before departure.

Checking in at GOL check-in counters at the airport

  • At the check-in counter, you must present your RG card, driver’s license, professional ID card or passport. For international flights, you must present your passport. If you are travelling to a Mercosul member country, you may use your Brazilian ID card (RG) instead of a passport. Do not forget to bring your e-ticket locator (reservation) code or the printed ticket.
  • The check-in counter is where you check any baggage you may have. Baggage will be weighed, tagged and transported to the aircraft. If needed, you can pay a fee for any additional bags while checking in. Please note: if you pay your baggage fees ahead of time using one of our digital channels or airport kiosks, you will receive a 50% discount.
  • At the end of the check-in process, you will receive your boarding pass. The boarding pass will give you access to the boarding area and the aircraft.

You can check your bags yourself using the Express Baggage service at the following airports: Congonhas (São Paulo), Santos Dumont (Rio de Janeiro), Florianópolis (Santa Catarina) and Goiânia (Goiás). Click here for more information.

Locator (reservation) code

After purchasing your ticket, you will receive your locator code. This code identifies your reservation and will also be on your boarding pass. It’s important to have your locator code on hand, as it will be required at check-in.

Your boarding pass, which will look similar to the one below, contains information about your flight and is issued after you check in.

You must always have your boarding pass on hand when traveling by plane.

Your boarding pass will only be issued after you check in, whether you check in using a self-service option or at a GOL check-in counter at the airport.

Below you can find a few examples of the boarding passes issued through each channel:
