There are several ways to check in for your flight with GOL.

You can check in at the check-in counters at the airport but you can also check in through the GOL website, using a smartphone, a self-service kiosk or on Twitter. Save time with any of these options! Remember to always arrive at the airport ahead of time. If you are flying on a domestic flight and don’t have bags to check, arrive at least 40 minutes in advance, if you have bags to check, arrive at least one hour in advance. And, if you are flying on an international flight, arrive at least 2 hours in advance.

Checking in at GOL check-in counters at the airport

  • At the check-in counter, you must present your RG card, driver’s license, professional ID card or passport. For international flights, you must present your passport. If you are travelling to a Mercosul member country, you may use your RG card instead of a passport. Do not forget to bring your e-ticket reservation (locator) code or the printed ticket.
  • Baggage, should you have any, must be checked at the check-in counter. Baggage will be weighed, tagged and transported to the aircraft.
  • When the check-in process has been completed, you will receive your boarding pass. The boarding pass will give you access to the boarding area and the aircraft.

At Congonhas Airport in São Paulo and at the airports in Rio de Janeiro, you may check your baggage yourself using the Express Baggage service. Click here to find out more.

Reservation (locator) code

After purchasing your ticket, you will receive your locator code. This code identifies your reservation and will also be on your boarding pass. It’s important to have your locator code on hand, as it will be required at check-in.

Your boarding pass, which will look similar to the one below, contains information about your flight and is issued after you check-in.

You must always have your boarding pass on hand when traveling by plane.

Your boarding pass will only be issued after you check in, whether you check in using a self-service method or check in at a GOL check-in counter at the airport.
