Paying for overweight baggage At this time, GOL will not be offering the service of purchasing baggage in advance. In the case of extra or overweight baggage, the extra fee can only be paid at check-in.
Fragile items Fragile items are accepted as long as they are properly packed. However, if the product is damaged for any reason, the company is not responsible for reimbursing you. Check out the airline contract to learn more.
Perishables Perishable items are acceptable as long as they are properly packaged. However, the company is not responsible for reimbursement if the product is damaged for any reason. For more information, please review the airline contract.
Transport of items for infants (from 0 to 2 years of age) If the infant is traveling in a separate (reserved) seat, the infant has the same checked baggage allowance as an adult. If they are traveling on the lap, you can check one piece of checked baggage up to 10 kg. A complimentary allowance of 1 stroller (for use) and/or 1 baby carrier will be provided free of charge.
Lost baggage In case of lost baggage, the last airline that transported the passenger is responsible for registering and monitoring the status of the baggage.
Damaged Baggage In the case of damaged baggage, the customer must contact the last carrier in order to file damaged baggage claim.
Baggage Rules
All electronics must be carried as carry-on items. Laptops, cameras, cell phones, camcorders and tablets must be screened through the airport's X-ray machine at the entrance to the departure lounge.
Valuables such as jewelry and cash must also be carried as carry-on items.
The following items are not allowed in carry-on baggage: bladed weapons, firearms, cartridges and ammunition for firearms, printer cartridges, bottles containing more than 100 ml of liquid, fuels, batteries with electrolytes, lithium batteries with a capacity of more than 160 Wh, fireworks, bombs, paints, chemicals and mercury thermometers.

Passengers who require special assistance Requests for assistance for passengers with special needs must be made at the time of booking or at least 72 hours prior to departure. For flights originating in Brazil, requests for special assistance, such as the need for a wheelchair, must be made at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Unaccompanied minors Minors under 16 years of age cannot travel unaccompanied.
Infants Infants up to 2 years of age may travel free of charge on domestic flights. The infant must travel on the lap of a responsible adult over the age of 18. Only one infant per customer is allowed.

Live animals are not permitted on GOL and Azul flights, with the exception of guide dogs.
To request guide dog service, please contact your ticket issuer.

For itineraries where the first leg is operated by GOL, check-in can be done at the GOL counter at the airport on the day of the trip or via our website www.voegol.com.br or APP 36h in advance. If Azul is the operator of the first segment of the trip, check-in can be done either at the Azul counter or at www.voeazul.com.br.
Remember that you must have valid documentation* for your trip, such as a valid passport, visas and vaccinations, if applicable.
*Documentation (including visas and vaccinations) is the responsibility of the passenger. We recommend that you check with the embassies of your destination countries to avoid any hassle.
Please note: Your boarding pass must include all segments of your itinerary. Also, you only need to check your baggage once and we will transfer it between flights. However, it is necessary to check the customs procedures of each destination country and remember that baggage policies can vary between airlines, so check them before you travel.
